Sausage Rolls with Gourmet Relish

Stop, drop and roll this festive season with Jesse Lou's gourmet sausage roll recipe!

1 roll Careme all butter ready-rolled puff pastry
500g pork sausages, mince removed from casings
1 cup panko crumbs
1 small brown onion
2 teaspoons fresh thyme, chopped fine
1 egg, lightly beaten Sesame seeds to garnish
1 Jar Chutney
Preheat oven to 200C

Line 2 baking trays with baking paper, cut pastry sheets in quarters ready to add mince mix.
Combine the mince, breadcrumbs, onion, thyme and 2 tablespoons of the chutney in a large bowl and season with salt and pepper.
Divide the sausage mix into 4 portions and neatly line each portion along the width and in the centre of the pastry portions

Brush the long side of the pastry with the whisked egg wash. Roll neatly to enclose the filling in pastry allowing the egg to seal at the end.
Slice each portion into 5 even pieces. Place rolls on the lined baking trays seam side facing down. Brush cut rolls with remaining egg

Now lightly sprinkle with sesame seeds. Pop into the oven for 30 minutes until lovely and golden and cooked through.
